When I was in college, I really got into art, but it wasn't just anime that really got me into art (a non-major design course and an art history gen-ed course helped too). Soon, I wanted to do art and sell them at the artist alley. It doesn't have to be anime art, but something fantasy/video game/graphic novel inspired art or even make a webcomic series. I also wanted to do some web design, but right now, I can only do some programming (which I'm not really up to professional standards).
There was this one point that I wanted to write stories. I have started two original stories but they have been in hiatus for so long. So was that Mario fanfiction series on that matter.
Then I picked up Japanamerica and it makes me want to write a book about the otaku culture. I must say that anime has brought up a lot of influence in Western culture (e.g., Avatar: The Last Airbender or Kappa Mikey), but mostly the Internet. With Internet shows like Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Series and sites like 4Chan and YouTube, we have spawned a new generation of otaku. And they say nerds are shy...
Slowly I am growing ld and soon I would have to move on. Perhaps it is starting with the fact that I am not that interested in anime cons as much as I was when I attended my first con (Katsucon 2003). Right now, I think I should stop going to anime conventions unless I do staff/volunteer work, cosplay, or, when I am good enough, be an artist or a writer(that would take some time).
I do talk about these dreams all the time and how I'm doing in all of them. It's just having the motivation to jump into it that's the problem. How do you all get in the mood to do what you love to do? It doesn't have to be art-related.
I have been looking at some schools to get that art degree that I have not finished getting. I was thinking of returning to my alma matter, but with my work schedule and the fact that I really need the money not to miss a day of work, that's a problem right now.
They don't have a birthday emoticon for this journal? What a gyp. I guess I'll have to settle with the balloon emoticon mood.

Dirty girls, make some noise. Move that ass for dirty boys. Dirty boys, so obscene. Like to see the girls extreme.
I wasn't sure if I have replied. I thought I did, but just in case
